📖 Read & Close Material
Carefully read one part of your study material or notes, then cover the book to get ready for active recall without any references at all.
✍️ Write Everything Down
Jot down everything that comes to your mind regarding the topic not bothering about the sequence or correctness. Just dump your mind all the remembered information quickly.
🔍 Compare & Identify Gaps
Take out your original material and check against what you wrote. Highlight information that you missed or got wrong in order to determine weak points.
🎨 Highlight Missing Info
Mark with a different colored pencil or highlighter the information that you missed on your blurt paper for easy visual identification.
🔄 Restudy Weak Areas
Direct your study time mainly on the gaps and errors pointed out, and give special attention to the material that you could not recall at first.
🔁 Repeat the Process
Do steps two to five repeatedly until your recall of the material without consulting notes reaches ninety percent or more.
⏱️ Use Timed Sessions
For each blurt session set a timer between ten to fifteen minutes. This keeps practice concise and helps to avoid mental exhaustion from prolonged writing.
🧩 Choose Manageable Topics
When studying, concentrate on one specific topic only rather than on a large subject area. Divide big subjects into smaller, easier sections for the learning process to be more effective.
