1️⃣ Plan Your Tasks Before Starting
Clearly list your tasks before starting Pomodoros. This will not only save you time but also prove very useful in the end by preventing the timer from beginning and you still deciding what to do next.
⏲️ 2. Stick to the 25-Minute Focus Rule
A Pomodoro is equivalent to 25 minutes of total and deep concentration. Do not stop the clock or change your focus in order to keep your attention intact.
🚫 3. No Distractions Allowed
Turn a blind eye to messages, notifications and interruptions. New ideas should be noted down to be dealt with during the breaks.
☕ 4. Take Real Breaks
After each Pomodoro, you should take a 5-minute break during which you can do some stretching, take a stroll or simply breathe. After 4 Pomodoros, break for a long period between 15 to 30 minutes.
📊 5. Track Your Progress
Keep a record of the daily Pomodoros you complete. Not just the results but seeing them too will motivate you and help measure your focus time.
🎯 6. Adjust the Technique to Fit You
If 25 minutes seem too short or too long, slightly modify it. The important thing is discovering your own pattern of focus and rest.
🔁 7. Respect the Cycle
Do not eliminate breaks or lengthen work sessions excessively. The Pomodoro rhythm will keep your energy level balanced and consistent.
